Add, Change or Remove User Password in Windows 10

Here is how to manage user account password in Windows 10 to improve user privacy protection.

Add password
These instructions are applicable to the situation when you add a password to a user account that doesn't have a password at the moment.
1. Open Settings.
2. Click Accounts.
3. In the left menu click Sign-in options.
4. Under the Password section click on the Add button.
5. Type the desired password into the New password and Reenter password fields and put a password hint into the corresponding field.
6. Click Next, and then click Finish.
Change password
To change the current password do the following.
1. Open Settings.
2. Click Accounts.
3. In the left menu click Sign-in options.
4. Under the Password section click on the Change button.
5. Type your current password and click Next.
6. Put your new password into the New password and Reenter password fields and add a hint.
7. Click Next > Finish.
Remove password
To remove a user password perform the steps below.
1. Open Settings.
2. Click Accounts.
3. In the left menu click Sign-in options.
4. Under Password click Change.
5. Leave blank all the three fields and click Next.
6. Click Finish.
